Fora Health/De Paul Treatment Centers’ Visionary Campaign for Hope and Recovery. The project is much more than a building, it is the embodiment of hope and healing and will significantly increase our patient capacity at a time when our community needs us more than ever as we begin to recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and the dramatic increase in mental health and substance use disorder we are experiencing.

Peer Mentors help patients navigate sobriety with great skill and empathy because they have been there. Peer Mentors are highly trained and state-certified specialists with lived experience in recovery and who have at least two years of sobriety themselves. They are passionate about supporting others on their recovery journey and are often the glue that keeps individuals connected to services.

Fora Health’s new treatment center in SE Portland’s Gateway District was designed through a patient-centered lens. We recently expanded this approach to include our plans for art in the new building, teaming up with former Board Member and renowned urban designer Suenn Ho to fill our new space with creations by and for the De Paul / Fora Health community.

We are excited to welcome three new members to the Fora Health Board of Directors: Kevin Valk, Owner, Principal, and Design Director of Holst Architecture, Dr. Amit Shah, CareOregon’s Chief Medical Officer, and Dr. Paul M. Conti, Psychiatrist and Consultant with Pacific Premier Group. All three bring a wealth of relevant talent and expertise to the Board as well as a passion for the equitable treatment of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders in our community

De Paul / Fora Health’s new treatment facility designed by Holst Architecture was recently honored with the 2019 Design Excellence Award from the Portland Design Commission. The award recognizes a project that exemplifies good design, as well as context, public realm, and quality and resilience.
