Fora Health’s Medical Director, Dr. Eowyn Rieke, joined Let’s Talk Portland for a discussion on alcohol, Oregon’s access to care, challenges of substance use disorders and more.
Dr. Rieke delved into how people can develop a dependence on alcohol by using it to cope and the subsequent strain on an individual’s relationships this can cause.
She offered tips and insights on how people can start to make changes with their use of alcohol. For example, drinking a full glass of water in between beers. Moreover, that Fora as an organization celebrates any positive development; not seeing the journey to sobriety as an all or nothing outcome.
